The 570 NEXT Initiative was founded on a simple belief:
A young person's future should never be defined by the impact of substance use disorder.
Across Luzerne County, youth and young adults face educational, financial, and personal challenges resulting from substance use disorder, including the loss of a parent or primary caregiver. These experiences can interrupt education, delay career goals, and create barriers to opportunity at a pivotal time in life.
570 NEXT was created to help remove those barriers.
Rather than operating as a traditional scholarship program, 570 NEXT provides flexible charitable assistance tailored to each recipient's unique goals and circumstances. Whether pursuing higher education, workforce training, a skilled trade, an apprenticeship, or professional certification, recipients receive support that helps them move forward with confidence.

Who We Help
570 NEXT supports eligible youth and young adults who:
Live in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania
Have experienced educational or career disruption related to substance use disorder, including the loss of a parent or primary caregiver due to substance use disorder or overdose
Are pursuing higher education, trade school, apprenticeships, workforce training, certifications, career development, or other educational opportunities
Can demonstrate how charitable assistance will help them achieve their goals
